报告摘要：
Learning to predict is the central research problem in machine learning. A key challenge here is that we do not know if the prediction result is accurate or not since the ground truth is not available for the test data. We formulate this problem as an optimization process and develop a prime-dual-correction network learning method to address this challenge, which is able to significantly improve the learning and prediction performance. We evaluate its performance in various machine learning tasks, including human trajectory prediction, few-shot learning, pose estimation, and partial differential equation learning.
个人介绍：
南方科技大学讲席教授，人工智能实验室主任，鹏城实验室双聘研究员，IEEE Fellow。全职回国前就职于美国密苏里大学电子工程系18年（2003-2021）， 离任前为该系终身正教授和Robert Lee Tatum 特聘教授。研究方向包括深度学习、人工智能物联网、智能信息物理系统、复杂动态系统人工智能方法等。
从2003年开始，围绕人工智能物联网和智能信息物理系统(Smart Cyber Physical Systems) 开展了长期深入的前沿研究，在机器视觉、机器学习、视频网络通信、物联网等领域取得了一系列国际前沿的研究成果，研究成果成功应用于智能制造、智慧养老医疗、智能交通、生态环境、远程特殊教育培训等领域。
荣获IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology最佳论文、 SPIE青年科学家等重要奖项。入选斯坦福大学全球顶级科学家World's Top 2 Scientists终身科学影响力排行榜和2019年度科学影响力排行榜。
在美国工作期间，承担了十多项美国国家科学基金、国防部、国家卫生研究院重点研究项目。作为共同创建人先后创立了地理信息情报研究中心和全球领先的智慧养老技术研究中心。和美国多家博物馆合作建立了全球性的野生动物和生态监测物联网平台。拥有丰富的科研成果产业化经验。
